A pregnant woman was tied to a large pole and beaten this weekend after she reappeared in a village in China’s eastern Zhejiang province, where she had been caught stealing cash 10 days before.
She is only just conscious, and a man can be seen pulling her hair, while another kicks her in the face as she slumps to the ground.
The incident took place on August 29 in a village near Taizhou city,
Ms Lu is said to be 28 years old and came from the nearby city of Ningbo.
Reports indicate that she has already been charged for theft three times and has previously been detained.
Police statement confirmed that she had broken into the home of a man named as Mr Feng in Hengshan village, on August 18 and tried to steal 900 Yuan (£90) cash.
On that day, Ms Lu was caught by the local. But when the residents saw that she was pregnant, they let her go without calling the police after she returned the cash.
